New Patient Consultation

The intent of a new patient consultation is that a physician or Nurse practitioner is asking another physician or NP for advice, opinion, recommendation, suggestion, direction, etc. in evaluating or treating a patient because our office has expertise in a specific medical area beyond the requesting physician or NP’s knowledge.

At a new patient consultation, we will have you fill out paperwork about your medical history, sign consent forms so that we can request any medical records that may be required, and discuss the symptoms/issues with one of our physician’s or nurse practitioners. They will likely schedule any further testing, procedures, etc. during that appointment or have you come back for a follow-up appointment to discuss any further treatment options.
